The History of Ocean World Travel

Founded by Michele Dance, Ocean World Travel initially began operation in 1995 from a small box room in Birmingham, after having worked as a manager in a High Street Travel Agency for many years. Ocean World Travel quickly became very well-known in the cruise industry, especially with Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines, P&O Cruises, Cunard, Royal Caribbean International, and Celebrity Cruises to name but a few.

The company grew rapidly, and moved to Winchester in 2003 to expand into larger offices. By 2005, Ocean World Travel decided that they needed to be on the front line, and relocated their offices in the 'cruise capital of the UK', Southampton.

After 20 years of trading as a cruise call centre, it was decided to expand the business to sell all aspects of travel and also open their first shop close to home in Chandler's Ford, Hampshire. In 2020, Ocean World Travel celebrated its 25th Anniversary. Hand-picked staff offer the same 1995 values of warm and friendly service whilst calling upon years of travel experience.
