Michele enjoyed a 10 night cruise Vantage Holidays between Tarascon and Chalon Sur Saone.  'The cruise was a gastronomy themed cruise and it really was exactly that.  Vantage had brought in specially selected wines to accompany the dishes that were specially created by their wonderful Slovakian chef for the cruise.  The food on board really did deliver gastronomic extravaganza that had been promised.  In addition Vantage carefully chose three fine restaurants ashore.  The experience and the food was exceptional.  There are many cruises offering a seven night version of this cruise but they miss so much.  If you have the time I would recommend this longer cruise.  There quite a few bespoke single cabins with no single supplement which is great.  The ship is 4* and is comfortable, homely and welcoming.  The crew are warm and friendly.  Many are Filipino who always seem to have the biggest smiles and hearts!  Having been cruising for 30 years this cruise is certainly in my top ten and highly recommended.'

Prize One WIN 2 bottles of wine from Georges Du Boeuf

"Georges Du Boeuf is a wonderful family owned and run vineyard in the heart of Beaujolais.  As part of my cruise we had delicious lunch accompanied by a variety of wonderful Du Boeuf wines.  Then I popped into their shop and bought the two of the wines I had tasted for me to bring home for someone to win."  Michele

marseille soap #foodiefriday

Prize Two WIN 10 Organic soap from Marseille

"Whilst shopping in Avignon I came across a delightful small shop selling wonderful Marseillan soaps.  They had some amazing ones like red wine, pina colada, biscuit, liquorice and many more.  So I picked up 10 to bring home for someone to win."Michele

mustard #foodiefriday

Prize Three WIN A Mustard Selection from Burgundy

"I enjoyed a visit to Fallot Mustard Mill, the last independent mustard factory in Burgundy as part of my cruise.  They have a Moutarderie where you can try all of their mustards – quite an amazing concept so I bought a selection such as curry mustard, white wine, red wine as well as many more for someone to win.  I bought some for my 11 year old son who loves mustard as well and he loves them."Michele

pastis and almond #foodiefriday

Prize Four WIN Pastis & Almond Syrup

"One afternoon the ship invited us to play boules on the quayside whilst drinking Pastis and eating saucisson. Traditionally Pastis is mixed with water which makes it go cloudy and some French people add almond syrup. Having enjoyed a very civilized afternoon made better by winning, I popped to the shop and bought some Pastis and almond syrup to bring home for someone to win."Michele

nougat #foodiefriday

Prize Five WIN Nougat, gavottes & Fat Bastard

"Nougat comes in light and dark – light represents good and dark represents evil. Gavottes are a delicious biscuit for which I have a very simple yet stunning dessert recipe. The bubbly has a great name which made me laugh when I found it and made it irresistible to buy."Michele

pink flamingo #foodiefriday

Prize Six WIN a bottle of Pink Flamingo and extra goodies

After my cruise I spent a week in my French home in Aigues Mortes which is near Montpellier which is famous for salt, Fleur De Sel.  Pink Flamingo is a delicious regional specialty wine and is produced locally.  There is a wonderful but expensive sweet shop in Aigues Mortes.  I buy lollies for my children which they adore. So I collected some treats from my French home town and brought them home for someone to win.' Michele
