Packing Tips
- Luggage: Each passenger can bring a reasonable amount of personal property and luggage onboard. For your comfort and convenience, we recommend limiting larger luggage to one or two pieces. Be sure to check with your airline about baggage allowances and weight and size restrictions, as extra fees may apply.
- Overnight Bag: Please bring a small overnight bag for your last night at sea. Since staff will collect your luggage the night before disembarkation, you’ll need this bag for night clothes and toiletries.
- Luggage Tags: Ensure all your bags, including carry-ons, are identified with your Azamara Cruises luggage tags. These should be filled out and affixed to each piece before you leave home.
- Insurance: Insure all luggage and valuables. Azamara cannot be responsible for their loss or damage. Baggage protection, as well as a variety of other coverages designed to protect you during your cruise vacation, are offered through Azamara Trip Protection by Allianz.
- Documents: Check to see that your tickets, boarding card, and other documents are in order, and pack them in a bag that you carry with you.
Electricity
The on board voltage is 110/220 AC (maximum 1500 watts) so please take any necessary adapters (N. European and North America adaptors will both work). Hair dryers are provided in all staterooms throughout the Azamara fleet. Please note: if you are bringing any medical equipment with you that requires mains power, please ensure you check the power requirements with our Special Services team in advance of your cruise.
Wi-Fi
You may be off the grid, but you’re not out of touch. While at sea, you can stay in touch with family, friends and colleagues by cell phone, Internet/Wi-Fi, phone or mail. Please read this section carefully to learn about your options and applicable charges.

Wi-Fi (Wireless Internet access) is also available through most of the ship. We also offer Cellular at Sea, a convenient, accessible, and affordable cruise mobile phone service with plans from AT&T and Verizon. For all other carriers, please click HERE. If your phone has eSIM capabilities, we also offer Cruise+, the only seamless mobile data service for your entire cruise at sea, in port, and at destinations all for one low price. Age Restrictions
Infants sailing on a cruise must be at least six months old as of the first day of the cruise and/or CruiseTour. Note: For transatlantic, transpacific, Hawaii, select South America and other selected cruises and/or CruiseTours, the infant must be at least 12 months old as of the first day of the cruise/CruiseTour. Any cruise that has three or more consecutive days at sea will require infants to be 12 months old on the first day of the cruise/CruiseTour.
Please be aware that guests traveling with a young infant that does not meet the infant policy will be denied boarding. No refunds or other compensation shall be due from the cruise line to anyone as a result of the denial of boarding to an underage infant or other accompanying guests.
For purposes of this Guest Conduct Policy, a minor is defined as anyone under the age of 18. A young adult is defined as anyone ages 18, 19 or 20. Parents and guardians are responsible for the behaviour and appropriate supervision of their accompanying minor(s) and young adult(s) throughout their vacation. This obligation applies during transfers to and from ships, inside terminals, while onboard, at our ports of call, during shore excursions and at our private destinations. This responsibility applies at all times, regardless of whether the parents and guardians are physically in the company of their minor(s) and young adult(s). Under no circumstances should the parent or guardian of a minor debark the ship without their accompanying minor(s) or without having made arrangements for the accompanying minor(s) appropriate supervision on the ship during their absence.
Room Service
The best time for room service? Whenever you say it is, 24-hours a day. Order from the full breakfast menu between 6:30 AM and 10:00 AM, and we’ll deliver at your appointed time. Lunch and dinner room service features a menu of hearty soups, fresh salads, gourmet sandwiches, pizzas and desserts.
Alcoholic Beverages
The minimum drinking age for all alcoholic beverages on Azamara® ships is twenty-one (21). However on International cruises departing from ports in Europe, Asia, South America and Australasia, where the legal drinking age is typically lower, the minimum drinking age is lowered to eighteen (18). All guests must agree to comply with Azamara’s Guest Conduct policies. We reserve the right to vary minimum age limits without notice where local laws require or where deemed desirable or necessary. Within the territorial waters of some countries on your itinerary or the embarkation port, the on board shops may be closed or alternatively restrictions may be imposed on some items available for purchase. Please note: some of our cruise itineraries call exclusively upon EU ports of call and for such cruises we are required to charge VAT (value added tax) on certain on board goods and services depending on the VAT regulations of the home port country or the country of a port of call. Such VAT is charged on goods and services at the point of sale and is subsequently paid over to the country charging the VAT.
You may bring your own spirit, beer or wine for private consumption in your suite or stateroom. If you wish to consume your spirit, beer or wine in any shipboard restaurant, bar or dining venue, each bottle is subject to a corkage fee of $10.
Medical Centre
We don’t want anything to hold you back from having an immersive, unforgettable voyage with us. We’ve got the onboard staff and services to assist with your medical needs and make your time with us hassle-free. If you have another type of medical condition not listed below, please inquire about policies and procedures that may affect your voyage.
Onboard Physicians – Every Azamara vessel is equipped with a medical facility. At least one licensed physician and one nurse are generally in attendance on all Azamara® voyages. Select medical services and medications are available for a fee, though medication types are limited. While we’re here to help with any medical issues that arise, our medical facilities are not intended as clinics for guests, and Azamara is not responsible for the diagnosis, treatment, or services furnished by shipboard medical personnel, who are independent contractors.
Dialysis – Guests requiring continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis are welcome onboard all Azamara vessels. However, Azamara does not have the ability to assist or administer hemodialysis treatments. Guests using peritoneal dialysis should have all solutions and equipment needed to perform the dialysis delivered to the vessel on the day of sailing at least two hours prior to departure. Please contact us for more information on dialysis policies and procedures.
Oxygen – All types of oxygen are permitted onboard. Please notify us as to the quantity, type and delivery schedule. Each vessel has a different storage policy; however, you will be able to keep some or all of your cylinders in your stateroom.
Pregnancy – Expectant mothers are welcome, however Azamara cannot accept guests who will be more than 23 weeks pregnant at any time during the cruise or cruisetour. All guests are required to sign a health questionnaire at check-in to ensure they are aware of our pregnancy policy. If you have already booked a cruise or CruiseTour and do not meet this requirement, please contact your Travel Agent or contact us for assistance.
Note: If you have another type of medical condition that has not been mentioned, please inquire about policies and procedures that may affect your voyage.
Medical Capabilities:
Your health and safety are our priorities. That’s why you’ll find an enhanced medical facility on board each Azamara vessel, equipped with:
- Medical centre with enhanced equipment
- Onboard testing capabilities
- Telehealth medical support
- Multi-level response plan
Smoking Policy
Our ships have a designated smoking area, located on the portside forward section of the pool deck (Deck 9, over by the Club Spa Suites). The smoking area is clearly marked.
For our guests’ comfort and health, all other areas of the ship are non-smoking, including public rooms, restaurants, pool decks, staterooms and suites, verandas and halls.
Please note: this policy includes products such as electronic cigarettes/vapes. Each violation will result in a $250 fine.

We welcome guests with special needs and disabilities. We happily offer accessible staterooms and all reasonable assistance to make your voyage truly hassle-free and most of all, memorable.
To customise your accommodations to meet your specific needs, please follow the link here.
Special Needs – We welcome guests with disabilities and special needs and work hard to assist them throughout their vacation. To receive appropriate assistance, be sure to submit a Special Accommodations Form no later than 40 days before US sailings, and 80 days before all other sailings.
Sign Language – We are able to provide sign language interpreting services on cruises that sail to and from the U.S. and Canada only. Please make a request at the time of booking but no later than 60 days prior to sailing. Please note that requests are subject to availability of interpreters. The earlier you let us know you need interpreters, the easier it is to confirm interpreters for your sailing. Services are provided on a shared basis for all hearing-impaired guests onboard.
Wheelchairs or Scooters – We provide complimentary wheelchairs for getting on and off the ship. If you would like to have a wheelchair or scooter during the cruise, you are welcome to bring your own or rent one from a company that provides wheelchairs and scooter rentals for cruises.
Service Animals – accept service animals on all our ships. Please see our Service Animal section for more details about our service animal policies.
Visual Impairment – We have made the voyage experience as effortless as possible for our guests with visual disabilities. Our staterooms, dining and public areas are designed to incorporate Braille wherever possible. Other accommodations include an allowance for service animals, including a 4×4 foot relief area with cypress mulch, and the option of early boarding for orientation tours. We also provide qualified readers onboard our ships to assist guests and waiters will read dining menus upon request.
Travelling Alone – We do not require that a guest with a disability travel with another person as a condition for traveling on our ships. However, guests must be self-sufficient and we recommend that guests travel with a companion to provide any required assistance. Our crew are not able to assist with personal tasks (e.g. eating, dressing, toileting or lifting).
Embarking/Disembarking – Guests with assistive devices who are unable to take a few steps will be unable to board tenders. In order to safely board most tenders, guests must be able to take steps and use a collapsible manual wheelchair. In addition, motorised wheelchairs and mobility scooters can not be taken on tenders. Please see our Getting On and Off the Ship for more details.
We have personnel with wheelchairs who provide assistance with pushing wheelchairs on and off the ship using gangways and boarding bridges. Please note our personnel are not required to lift guests. During peak times there may be a wait for assistance. Please see Getting On and Off the Ship for additional information. If you need further assistance, please contact us.
Fit to Travel Policy – Fit to travel can mean several things. In general, all guests must ensure that they are medically and physically fit for travel. This is stated in our Cruise Ticket Contract.
Guests on international sailings should be aware that inoculations may be required for some countries in order to be considered fit to travel.
Guests who are pregnant and under 24 weeks of pregnancy must have a fit to travel note from their physician. Click for more information.
Guests with a disability are not required to travel with another person as a condition for traveling on our ships. However, our personnel are not required to perform personal tasks (e.g. assisting with eating, dressing, toileting or lifting) and therefore, guest requiring assistance with these functions should consider these needs when making a booking.
If there is a question regarding the guest’s fitness to travel without personal assistance, this must be discussed with our Access Department. For more information please contact us, or submit a Special Accommodations Form.
Oxygen-Dependant – If you are dependent on oxygen or require oxygen therapy, you must supply your own oxygen, and meet certain requirements prior to boarding the ship. Please contact us for additional information.
Dialysis – Guests who require dialysis are welcome onboard all Azamara voyages. However, Azamara does not have the ability to assist nor administer hemodialysis treatment. Those guests using peritoneal dialysis should have all solutions and equipment needed to perform the dialysis delivered to the vessel on the day of sailing at least two hours prior to sailing. Please contact us for more information on policies and procedures.
Onboard Physician – Each Azamara vessel is equipped with a medical facility. At least one licensed physician and one nurse are generally in attendance on all Azamara® voyages. Limited medical services and medications are available for a fee. The types of medications kept onboard are limited. The medical facility is not intended as a clinic for guests, and Azamara is not responsible for the diagnosis, treatment or services furnished by shipboard medical personnel, who are independent contractors.
Wheelchair Accessible Staterooms – All of our ships have staterooms designed to accommodate guests with mobility disabilities and other disabilities that require the features of an accessible stateroom. Please see our Accessible Stateroom section for more details. If you need additional information, please contact us.

Due to the nature of Internet access at sea, service interruptions may occur. View our internet packages here.
For guests outside of North America it is recommended to check with your local mobile cell service provider as coverage and packages differ between countries.
Laundry
Azamara ships include a self-service laundry room, free of charge and open to all guests. Detergent is provided. Full laundry and dry-cleaning services are also available for a charge.

Mobility Disabilities
Nothing should keep you from enjoying every aspect of your Azamara® experience. From getting on board to getting out and immersing yourself in the amazing destinations we visit, we’re here to help every step of the way.

Your service dog is welcome onboard, and we make every effort to ensure your comfort and theirs. Please note we do not accept pets.
A service dog is defined as “any dog that is individually trained to do work or perform tasks for the benefit of a person with a disability.”
Our Commitment
Evidence that a dog is a service dog (such as identification cards, other written documentation, presence of harnesses and/or tags) is not required, but is helpful for our staff and crew.
We provide 4 foot by 4 foot relief areas with cypress mulch to accommodate service dogs. Relief areas are provided on a shared basis with other service dogs onboard. For sailings from the U.S., sod can be provided if ordered in advance and is available.
Please notify our Access Department as early as time of booking, but no later than 30 days prior to sailing if a relief area is needed.
Your Responsibility
Service dogs are permitted to accompany their owner in all public areas, including dining venues. While in public areas, service dogs must be on a leash, harness or other restraining device. Due to health regulations, service dogs are not permitted in pools, whirlpools or spas.
Care and supervision of your service dog is your sole responsibility. It is also your responsibility to provide food and care for the dog.
You may bring a reasonable quantity of food and bowls for your dog onboard the ship at no additional charge. If refrigerated space is needed, notify our Access Department as early as time of booking, but no later than 30 days prior to sailing.
Special Dietary Needs
With advance notice, we can accommodate most special dietary needs.
