With a career in travel that spans over three decades, Michele is the heart of Ocean World Travel. In 1995, she turned a passion for discovery into a business, starting the company from a small box room in Birmingham. Her mission was simple: to prove that you didn’t have to sacrifice personal, outstanding service to get the best possible value.
Under Michele’s leadership, Ocean World Travel has evolved from that single room into a respected multi-branch agency at the center of the UK cruise industry. From the move to Southampton to the opening of our flagship retail stores, Michele has ensured that the company never lost its “small business” soul. Even after 30 years of trading, she remains dedicated to the traditional values of honesty and integrity, ensuring every customer feels like part of the family.
Calan
Partner
Calan represents the next generation of Ocean World Travel’s family leadership. While he officially joined the business in recent years, he has grown up immersed in the world of travel and the values that his mother, Michele, established back in 1995.
Bringing a fresh perspective to our traditional roots, Calan has been instrumental in the company’s recent growth, including the successful launch of our second high street shop in Wickham in 2025. He is passionate about maintaining the face-to-face, personal service that defines the brand while ensuring Ocean World Travel remains the first port of call for cruise specialists across the South Coast. For Calan, the focus is clear: honoring the 30-year history of the company while personally helping our customers navigate the ever-changing world of global travel.
Carrie
Senior Travel Consultant
As our longest-serving team member, Carrie has been an essential part of the Ocean World Travel family since 2006. With 20 years of experience, she offers an incredible depth of knowledge and a personal touch. Having cruised to far-flung destinations like India and the Bahamas, she prides herself on using her first-hand expertise to find the perfect voyage for her clients.

Apprentice Marketing Assistant
Darcy is passionate about bringing the world of travel to life through creative storytelling. Her primary focus is on expanding our presence in the River and Expedition markets, helping to inspire clients to explore these unique ways of cruising. For Darcy, the most rewarding part of her role is being part of a team that turns dream destinations into real memories.

Emily is currently working toward her Travel Consultant qualification. She’s seen first-hand how much care goes into the family business and is now enjoying learning the ropes herself. From researching new destinations to building quotes and exploring the latest cruise itineraries, Emily loves the challenge of the industry and is always eager to help find the perfect trip for our customers.

Marketing Manager
Jordan first joined Ocean World Travel in 2017 and, after gaining further experience elsewhere in the industry, has returned to lead our marketing. Having been a regular cruiser since 2009 and visited a vast range of ships, he brings a deep practical understanding of the product to the team. Jordan is now focused on shaping our marketing and evolving the brand, ensuring our 30-year foundation is paired with a modern approach for our customers.

Katie is in the first year of her marketing career and is currently learning the industry from the ground up. She assists the team by sourcing great travel deals and creating content focused on bucket-list destinations. As she builds her knowledge of the travel world, Katie is particularly excited to learn more about the cruise industry and is looking forward to experiencing her very first cruise in the near future.
